RETURNS AND REFUNDS POLICY

Thank you for choosing Ammaterre. Each of our products is formulated with care and attention to detail, honoring creation with thoughtfully sourced botanical ingredients. This policy describes the conditions under which we accept returns, exchanges, and refunds, in compliance with the laws of the State of Florida and federal law of the United States.
Please read this policy carefully before placing your order. By completing a purchase at ammaterre.com, you agree to the terms described herein.
1. GENERAL PRINCIPLE: HYGIENE FINAL SALES
As cosmetic products are intended for personal use and out of respect for the safety of all our customers, all opened, used, or tamper-seal-broken products are considered final sale and are not eligible for return or refund.
This policy is applied uniformly and reflects the standards of the professional cosmetics industry in the United States.
2. PRODUCTS ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN
We accept returns only when all of the following conditions are met:
- The product is unopened, unused, and the safety seal is intact.
- The original packaging (box, cap, label) is in perfect condition.
- The request is made within seven (7) calendar days following delivery.
- The original proof of purchase is provided (order number and email).
- The original shipping destination is the continental United States or Canada.
Approved returns are processed as a refund to the original method of payment or as store credit, at the customer's choice.
3. NON-ELIGIBLE PRODUCTS
Returns, exchanges, or refunds are not accepted in the following cases:
- Opened, used, or tamper-seal-broken products.
- Products on promotion, sale, clearance, or purchased with discounts greater than thirty percent (30%).
- Sets, kits, limited editions, or personalized products.
- Gift cards and store credits.
- Products damaged by misuse, improper storage, or prolonged exposure to sun or heat.
- Orders shipped to Venezuela and other international destinations outside the United States and Canada (see Section 7).
4. DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE, OR INCORRECT PRODUCTS
If you receive a product damaged during shipping, defective from manufacturing, or different from what you ordered, please notify us within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery.
Please write to hello@ammaterre.com with the following:
- Order number and full name.
- Clear photographs of the product received and the outer packaging (shipping box).
- A brief description of the issue.
Once the situation is verified, Ammaterre may offer, at its discretion:
- Replacement of the product at no additional cost.
- Store credit equal to the value of the product.
- Full refund to the original method of payment.
This section applies to all destinations, including Venezuela and international shipments.
5. ADVERSE REACTIONS AND SKIN SENSITIVITY
Although our formulas are crafted with naturally derived ingredients and undergo quality control, every skin responds differently. We always recommend performing a patch test before first use.
If you experience an allergic reaction or irritation attributable to one of our products, you may request a full refund subject to the following:
- Notice provided within fourteen (14) calendar days following the first application.
- Medical or dermatological certificate referencing the reaction and the product used.
- Photographs of the reaction and of the product, including the lot number.
- Return of the remaining product to the address we will provide.
These requests are evaluated case by case and handled with care and priority.
6. ORDERS NOT RECEIVED
If your order is marked as delivered by the carrier but you have not received it, or if it never arrived, you must notify us within fifteen (15) calendar days following the estimated delivery date.
Please write to hello@ammaterre.com with:
- Order number.
- Confirmation that the package is not in mailboxes, with neighbors, building reception, or nearby premises.
- Screenshot of tracking information, if received.
We will open an investigation with the carrier. If the loss is confirmed and the shipment included insurance coverage, we will process a replacement or corresponding refund. After the fifteen (15) day window, we will not be able to file a formal claim with the carrier.
7. SHIPMENTS TO VENEZUELA AND INTERNATIONAL DESTINATIONS
For Venezuela and all destinations outside the continental United States and Canada:
- We do not accept returns based on buyer's remorse, change of mind, or incorrect product shade.
- We do accept claims for products damaged in transit, manufacturing defects, or incorrect orders, in accordance with Section 4.
- In the event of an approved refund, it will be processed in United States dollars (USD) to the original method of payment.
- International shipping costs, customs duties, taxes, and tariffs are not refundable under any circumstance, except in the case of a direct shipping error by Ammaterre.
This policy reflects the logistical realities of international shipping and allows us to maintain competitive pricing.
8. STEP-BY-STEP RETURN PROCESS
To initiate an eligible return:
1. Write to hello@ammaterre.com within seven (7) days following delivery, with the subject "Return Request – Order #" followed by your order number.
2. Include the reason for return and photographs of the unopened product.
3. We will review your message, evaluate the request, and if approved, send return instructions within three (3) business days.
4. Pack the product in its original box with adequate protection.
5. Ship the package to the address provided using a service with tracking. Keeping the shipping receipt is the customer's responsibility.
6. Once the product is received and its condition verified, we will process the refund or store credit within five (5) to ten (10) business days.
Do not process returns without our prior written authorization. Products sent without authorization may be refused or not processed.
9. SHIPPING COSTS AND REFUNDS
- Original shipping costs are not refundable, except when the reason for return is a direct error by Ammaterre.
- The customer covers the cost of return shipping, except in cases covered by Section 4 (damaged or incorrect products).
- We recommend sending returns with a service that offers tracking and insurance. Ammaterre is not responsible for return packages lost without tracking.
- Approved refunds are processed to the original method of payment. The time it takes to appear in your account depends on the issuing bank (between 3 and 15 additional business days).
10. ORDER CANCELLATION
Cancellation requests are accepted only within the first two (2) hours after the order has been placed and before it has entered the packing process. Once the order is processed, it cannot be cancelled and you must initiate the return process described in this policy.

11. CHARGEBACKS AND PAYMENT DISPUTES
Before initiating a chargeback with your bank or payment processor, please contact us first by email. We address each case personally and strive to provide a fair resolution.
Chargebacks initiated without prior contact will be disputed with the corresponding order documentation. Accounts associated with fraudulent chargebacks may be blocked from future purchases.
12. POLICY ABUSE
Ammaterre reserves the right to refuse future purchases or returns from customers who repeatedly abuse this policy, request returns for non-eligible reasons, or submit recurring package-loss claims without supporting evidence.
13. ARTISANAL PRODUCTS AND INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
Due to the artisanal and botanical nature of our formulations, slight variations in color, texture, or scent may occur between batches. These variations are a natural characteristic of the product and do not constitute a defect.
Cosmetic product results may vary between individuals based on skin type, usage habits, and consistency. Individual results do not guarantee the same outcome for all users.
14. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy at any time. The current version will be posted on ammaterre.com with the updated date. The policy applicable to your order will be the one in effect at the time of purchase.
